Hey guys! I’m excited to soon be offering a purpose built, self-contained Fan Filter Unit or FFU for short.
These FFU’s are made up of a Fan, Speed Controller, Metal Housing, Mesh Pre-Filter and H14 HEPA Filter. The FFU’s are approximately 60cm tall, 120cm wide and 30cm deep. The housing is made from galvanized steel, the fan impeller from aluminium and the filter from glass fibre.
The air velocity at the filter face is adjustable, ranging from 0.35m/s – 0.62m/s (68fpm – 122fpm) depending on the configuration. The H14 HEPA, means the unit captures 99.99% of particles 0.3μm or bigger.
I’ll also be offering some Stainless-Steel Trivets. These adjustable plates enable you to make full use of the space inside your pressure cooker. After calculating the amount of water required for your sterilisation cycle, you are able to adjust the plate heights by interchanging bolts, allowing for an efficient use of space and energy, otherwise wasted by excessive water.
These units can also be stacked and spaced to accommodate deli pots and other PP5 containers inside your PC, preventing potential stack-collapse and deformation of certain containers. I currently have mine setup for my No-Pour deli pots which aren’t good at stacking too high on their own!
Right now the Trivets are designed to fit inside a Presto 23qt Pressure canner or any unit that can accommodate a 284mm wide plate, however, if there is enough interest, I may do a run for Hawkins, All-Americans and any other units too.

This is just what I want I think! This is the thing I need for doing agar stuff and transfers and all that without SAB right? Was looking at making one but this might save lots of time and worry.
